BROOKS UTILITY PRODUCTS MOVING TO EXPANDED FACILITY IN NOVI, MICHIGAN

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. - (May 17, 2017) – Brooks Utility Products, a supplier of electric metering products for the utility industry for 144 years, is relocating its headquarters and manufacturing operations from Farmington Hills to a new, larger and upgraded facility in Novi, Michigan.

While the new location is only three miles away from the current one, it is 40 percent larger, allowing Brooks to serve all customers more efficiently. The increased space will allow the company to produce new products for current and future markets through the expansion of their engineering test lab and product development area.

 North Carolina co-op restructures way members can make payment arrangements, using rules engine to reduce communications obstacles 

ATLANTA – May 16, 2017 – Four County Electric Membership Corporation, an electric cooperative based in Burgaw, North Carolina, integrated their customer service portal, interactive voice response (IVR) system and customer representative call center in June 2015 with SEDC’s Automated Business Rules Engine to provide members with 24/7 access to their accounts and a more streamlined, convenient way to make payment arrangements. Nearly two years later, the tool has proven vital to managing the challenges of a retiring workforce and managing payment plans for members affected by ongoing regional economic challenges.
