This content marketing piece aimed to help T&D infrastructure manufacturer Hughes Brothers sell more packaged kits of supplies. Although paid content clearly marked as advertising, this piece did more than just say: “Buy our kits!” MG created an article that addresses one of the main reasons utilities need kits – to restore power line infrastructure after natural disasters.

It provided practical tips to help utilities prepare for and respond to infrastructure damage. One of these ways is using kits and the article helps show why and how the kits reduce chaos and speed recovery in a post-disaster scenario.

RESULTS: Published in Transmission & Distribution World just as the storm season began, it delivered triple the impact of the client’s previous piece. A shorter blog version on the Hughes Brothers website received more than 23,018 page views in a month. This piece helps to show the effectiveness of using native advertising.
